On Sunday the 7th of October we held our Silver Sunday Event for the residents of Pembroke Court. It was a great day and we look forward to planning together with the residents more events and look forward to next year celebrating Silver Sunday again!
Silver Sunday is a national event held to draw attention to the problem of loneliness amongst older people, but also to celebrate their contribution to society. Many different events were held up and down the country, for ours, we held a fun afternoon of music, food and refreshments.
We also had a young person from the Arches Local area come in to play the piano to the residents.
