Arches Local Make Music Project "I wanna be the one"

 

I wanna be the one

This post is the culmination of the Arches Local Make Music Project that started out with Jamie Johnson handing out flyers for what was planned to be a 6-week project at the end of summer 2016. The project was run from Riverside One Studios in Chatham where participants had the opportunity to make and record their own music and work with other musicians, producers and professional songwriters.

CED Market Business Development - Schools & Community together

We had Future Foundry down on the 30th of March as part of our Community Economic Development plan of having a market at the Luton Road Shoppers car park to speak to people locally about what it takes to run Market.

Keeping it Local - Outdoors - Learning - Healthy - Fun - Children

This week we have been keeping it Local.

On Tuesday, March 14th 2017 Copperhouse Activity Training a local outdoor activity provider we support to run activities took children from a local primary school, All Saints CofE to a local park, Luton Millennium Green that as a community in partnership with other stakeholders are helping shape to our needs. The day was magically captured by a local photographer Steve Tomlin.

Market Shoppers Car Park CED Medway TC Awarness Event

We held a successful awareness event at the wonderful Magpie Community Centre Cafe last week where lots of local people turned up to share their opinions, had something to eat and drink. We premiered our new survey on having a market at Luton Road Shoppers Car Park which is part of our Community Economic Development plan and you helped Spice with ideas on the design of the incoming Medway Time Credit.

Christmas Event Santa Elves Workshops Health Bus @ Town Hall Gardens

On Sunday the 18th of December, we held our Christmas Event at Town Hall Gardens with Santa, his Head Elf, Reindeer and armed with a big sack of D&A toys, we had a health bus provided kindly by Orbit homes and workshops making baubles and Santa Logs by Creatabot and Creative Tree Arts and Crafts C.I.C. There were 2 marvellous kinds of soup made and served by Copperhouse Activity Training and refreshments served by Anchorians FC. We also had again some fabulous face painting from Dans Funky Faces.

The event and all activities were free on the day for the price of answering some simple questions and our marvellous community researchers were on hand to ask and record your answers on the day we thank you for all your great comments.Read more
